Markets are classrooms of courtesy. Whether you stand in a Sierra Leonean market or a diaspora grocery aisle talking about home foods, exchange language teaches numbers, quantity, price, quality, thanks, and parting. Soul Journey role-play (keep it dignified, never mocking accents):
- Greet the seller.
- Ask for an item and a quantity (intro-level numbers only—mastery comes with repetition).
- Ask price; ask about quality if appropriate.
- Accept, bargain within local norms your teacher explains, or decline politely (see 4.8).
- Thank and part.

Diaspora learners visiting home should not perform “hard bargainer” videos. Pay fairly. Thank people. Remember that market women and men are not extras in your reconnection film.
