In today’s time many people seem to be against religion and any other type of spiritual teachings. Many feel that it is unnecessary and even foolish to follow such. But there is a lot going against us in today’s time. These things that are going against us is what has mainly been causing all of the hate and division between us as a people of the diaspora. And in my opinion one of the best possible solutions to these issues would be to follow religion. There are many reasons why I think so.
In my view I see too many folks are just in despair based on how they’re living and what they do. It’s ridiculous to me how no one is at all interested in supporting others of their own in doing something unique. Especially when it doesn’t cost anything but a few minutes of their time. Many people in despair have this belief that there’s no point in even trying to do anything unique with their lives and so they just do whatever gets them by or they continue in the things they really wish they would get out of but they don’t see anything greater coming out of themselves or their lives anyway so they remain doing the same.
In my religion our greeting “…encourages other believers to be a worldwide community not divided by tribal or nationalistic loyaties but bound together by faith. The greeting is another institution that unites us and disregards the labels that we carry.” *Today you can pass by so many people and they don’t even greet back anymore let alone greet. It’s so sad. It’s like we’re all just living on this Earth all these thousands of people for what? No unity, no helping each other, no greeting each other, nothing. This world is so full of people but so empty. It feels so empty. So dead and sad.
In my faith we call each other brother or sister because we have the same belief. We are taught many things through the wise teachings of the prophets. Such as the believer having five rights over another. We are also commanded by God never to sever the ties of kinship. These are just a few examples of the teachings in my religion and these teachings ensure the maintenance of unity. This is my humble opinion of why I believe religion is so important not just for the benefit of your own life but also as an aid in maintaining unity between people.
