Peace be with you. Each year, we end it with the harshes time of the year in Cleveland, Ohio. While many of us get to be snuggled up in the comforts of our warm heated homes, others less fortunate have little chose but to spend much of there time out in the cold and while some are able to find shelter at some of the centers, other due to self pride, shame, disability and so on are for what ever the reason maybe unable to benefit from the same. For these, as I have witness myself some finding sleep at bus stops, under bridges, abandoned buildings and even behind bushes. Temperatures can get pretty low. I am not sure of the numbers, but if you know Cleveland like I do with its lake effect enhanced winters, it is no fun to experience when you have to find your place to rest in an abandoned building with no heat. Let us stand up to the occassion again this year and help our brothers and sisters with a gift of a sleeping bag designed for tough weather conditions. My challenged: 100 sleeping bags to be distributed before the deep cold comes in this January. Can we do it? I believe we can. We just need to bring out that innate kindness for fellow humanity.
Thank you for the opportunity to contribute to your efforts. We know that it’s needed. Peace and Blessings.
