Calm; verify; centre African agency

Africa Watch begins with a calm stance. Verify before sharing, separate what is known from what is inferred, and centre African agency rather than panic or spectacle.

Use several kinds of sources, check dates and places, and ask whose voice is missing. A watcher can name danger without turning people into helpless objects.
