0

In a day and age were all to often it can be very challenging to distinguish the real from the fake, the righteous from the hypocrite, the activist from the agent, how can one truly recognize the difference? While Grandmaster Jay aka John Fitzgerald Johnson, along with thousands of supporters demonstrated his cause for justice from the streets of Louisville, Kentucky to Lafyette, Louisiana, suited, booted and well armed with Grandmaster Jay was not unnoticed by many who had something to say. In the annals of African American activism, few figures have stirred as much controversy and evoked as much fervor as Grandmaster Jay, legally known as John Fitzgerald Johnson. Over the years, abundant speculation has swirled about his true intentions and affiliations, especially given his bold leadership of the NFAC (Not F****** Around Coalition). This blog aims to dismantle the slanderous labels he has been branded with by critics and affirm his role as a genuine catalyst for Black empowerment and unity. Over the past years, a relentless torrent of accusations has tried to tarnish his image, labeling him an agent. However, despite the harsh scrutiny and the unwavering allegations, no concrete evidence has ever surfaced to support these claims. In contrast, the silence of his most vociferous critics in recent years speaks volumes. Today, as he faces a difficult time behind bars on charges many see as unfounded, it’s time to reexamine the narrative and underscore his unwavering commitment to justice.

Grandmaster Jay’s Unwavering Mission

Grandmaster Jay came into the national spotlight at a time when racial tensions and calls for justice were at a boiling point. Leading the NFAC, he stood distinctly as a figure of Black resistance and autonomy. Critics were quick to cast aspersions, labeling him as an agent—a claim that has never been substantiated beyond biased conjectures and fearmongering by certain media elements. Years after such assertions were made, those voices remain conspicuously silent, especially now that Grandmaster Jay faces what are widely perceived as unwarranted legal challenges.

Unwavering Support Despite Personal Sacrifice

The Endurance of Support Through Trials

Despite daunting personal challenges, key figures within the activist community, like the dedicated Questman, continue to champion Grandmaster Jay’s cause. Questman, an activist, hip-hop artist, and spiritualist, has weathered personal losses, economic hardship, and the pain of separation from loved ones. Yet, his commitment to advocating for Grandmaster Jay and the broader cause of justice for the African diaspora has not waned. This perseverance underscores the deep impact of Grandmaster Jay’s mission on those who have engaged with him and the movement he spearheads.

The Reality of Grandmaster Jay’s Contributions

Grandmaster Jay emerged as a figure of significant influence at a tumultuous time when voices of courage and direction were desperately needed. Under his leadership, the NFAC (Not F****** Around Coalition) not only symbolized black solidarity but also embodied the urgent cry for justice and systemic change. A Shared Flame of Activism: A like-minded Connection with Captain Ibrahim Traore

The spirit of resistance and empowerment that Grandmaster Jay championed finds a parallel in Captain Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso.
